WE3 trio, who is inspired by shamanic music, has a repertoire dedicated to Seventies. The inspiration comes from the free magmatic music that John Surman, Bar Phillips and Stu Martin proposed through their historic band “The Trio”. The sounds arising from the italian band are rough and powerful. The dialogues between the horns, violone, and drums are continuous, without any interruption, like a flow that has the strength to overwhelm, and at the same time to surround everything that revolves around the three musicians.
Transmigration
- Francesco Chiapperini: baritone sax, bass clarinet, flute
- Andrea Ciceri: alto sax, soprano sax
- Daniele Cavallanti: tenor sax
- Vito Emanuele Galante: trumpet
- Mario Mariotti: trumpet
- Alberto Zanini: electric guitar
- Simone Quatrana: piano
- Luca Pissavini: double bass
- Stefano Grasso: drums
The WE3 trio, in this particular configuration, is enriched with other instruments, to give the music a more choral and orchestral breath, preserving the poetic elements that characterize the music. The texture and variety of voices present within the line-up give even more energy to the line-up which, moreover, counts the most representative musicians of the Milanese scene. The resulting sounds are rough, powerful, full. The dialogues among the instruments are continuous, without any interruption, like a flow that has the strength to overwhelm, and at the same time to surround with an embrace, everything that revolves around the musicians.
